Canada fails another veteran

[soundcloud id='266515803'] Ex-Army Master Corporal Kevin Sweeney was forced out of the Canadian Forces on a medical discharge after suffering mental health injuries in Afghanistan. Between National Defence and Veterans Affairs Canada, they lost his paperwork a number of times, dragged their feet and left Sweeney and his family without income for five months... totally dependent on the kindness of friends and strangers.

How can you help?

Support Vets Canada – who helped Sweeney when he needed it most.

Tell the people in charge what you think. Call the two ministers at their MP's offices (so your call stands out – don't call their ministries where spin doctors will intercept your call.) Telephone calls will likely be answered by staff, but they're far more impactful than an email.

Be polite. Both men are new and, I'm sure, would love to help.
