• Own the Podium – this strategic plan to identify events where Canadians can achieve podium finishes and targeting funding and training opportunities to those athletes.

• Excellent staff in management positions, developing Canada's athletic talent.

• The continuity of women's athletic careers within the amateur network, whereas men's team sports typically see the best athletes siphoned off into professional leagues.
