Ever wonder why soldiers leaving the Canadian Forces on a medical discharge are treated so badly by a nation that, I came across this page on the Department of National Defence website this week. You don't even have to read it – just glance at the diagrams illustrating the process to transition these soldiers out of the military. It perfectly illustrates the problem. The medium truly is the message.

Any bureaucracy that comes up with a "process map" like this to explain the system is a bureaucracy that will not succeed.
