Regrettably, I’ve had to ban a user for the very first time. There is no place here (or anywhere, frankly) for racist vitriol. It is not patriotic. In fact. It is the opposite of everything Canada and free democracies stand for.
We need a truly Canadian store. We have great Canadian clothing designers and products. A smaller retail footprint is necessary. You can't and shouldn't be all things for everyone. But more so, I certainly hope someone buys HBC off the Americans because they've drove it to the ground.
These are really good ideas, Mark. Even though I am American, I would certainly entertain shopping at an online store that specializes in Canadian goods and culture.
HBC's problem has nothing to do with immigrants, a word that appears four times in your vitriolic reply. This tells me more about you than it does the Bay. Lose the racist overtones and you may have some workable ideas to share – particularly about how to activate the shopping mall experience.

Aha! My first customer! Can I interest you in a pair of trail snowshoes and an Avril Lavigne CD?
The snowshoes....probably not. As for the CD, Sarah McLachlan is more my style (and yes, I realize my man-card should be revoked for admitting this).
